The City of Duncanville invites you to bring your family and friends to its annual Independence Day Celebration!
The day will begin with a parade sponsored by the Duncanville Lions Club, and will close with an evening of food, fun, and fireworks in Armstrong Park, where you’ll enjoy LIVE music, delicious food from local vendors, bounce houses for the kids, and the return of Duncanville’s traditional Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza!
Admission is FREE and open to the public, though wristbands will be required for entry into the evening activities.
The theme of this year’s Lions Club parade is “Red, White, and We Serve.” | |

WHERE | The parade route will begin on Wheatland Rd at Freeman St, heading west, turn north on Main St, and end on Main St at Freeman St. |
ROAD CLOSURES | Various closures will affect the Wheatland Rd & Main St area beginning at 7AM. |

Wristbands will be required for entrance to the evening festivities.Starting June 15th, wristbands will be available upon request at: The Duncanville Recreation Center (201 James Collins Blvd).While supplies last. Limit 10 wristbands per person; must be 18 or older to pick up. If quantities remain, wristbands will also be available at the event. |

ACCESSIBILITY | ADA-accessible parking will be located in the parking lot west of City Hall (203 E Wheatland Rd). |
PARK CLOSURE | Armstrong Park will be closed to the public in advance of the event, starting at 11:30 PM on July 3rd. Normal park hours will resume following the event. |
SHUTTLE SERVICE | Due to various street closures and limited parking, the City of Duncanville will offer a free shuttle service to and from designated remote parking locations before, during, and after the evening festivities. Two shuttle routes will be available:

The March 22, 2016 Town Hall Meeting was held at the Duncanville Fieldhouse and featured an update on the Fieldhouse Business Plan, presented by Parks and Recreation Director Bart Stevenson.
A no-cost seminar for residents wishing to learn about the benefits and uses of compost and Vermicompost, proper soil treatment, the usage of organic material discarded from lawns, gardens and flower beds; plus, growing and caring for native and adapted plants for the North Texas area.
This seminar is being offered in Dallas. Attendance is limited to the first 100 persons. Lunch will be provided for all registered attendees.

The City of Duncanville Parks & Recreation Center offers SPRING BREAK CAMP for children ages 5-14. This is a safe place for your children to be while you are at work. We are offering sports, arts & crafts, games and movies and lots of fun. Lunch and Snack are included.

The Grand Re-Opening of Red Bird Park is scheduled for Sunday, October 5th, 2015 at 6 PM. Come join us at the ceremonial ribbon cutting. Light refreshments will be provided. Bring your bike and join the group bike ride utilizing our new bike lanes.
