In celebration of the Christmas Holiday, the City of Duncanville is hosting the annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting on Friday, December 2nd, 2016. This year’s festivities will feature the annual parade down Main Street, pictures with Santa, the tree-lighting ceremony, and much more.


Event Type: Parade

Price: Free to the Public

Description: The Christmas parade will be hosted by the Duncanville Parks & Recreation Department. This year’s Christmas Parade is themed all things LEGO®.

Time: 7:00PM – 8:00PM

Place: The parade route will extend from Freeman to Wheatland, Wheatland to Main and dis-embarking on Main at Carder.

Event Type: Tree Lighting & Concert

Price: Free to the Public

Description: City of Duncanville’s Christmas in the Stars Tree Lighting & Concert will feature commentary by Mayor David Green and the music of Duncanville ISD’s Elementary Choirs.

Time: 8:00PM – 10:00PM

Place: In front of Duncanville Feed Store – 219 N Main St., Duncanville, TX

Price: Free to the Public

Description: Enjoy the festivities hosted by the City of Duncanville’s Park & Recreation Department which includes pictures with Santa & More!

Time: 8:00PM – 10:00PM

Place: Ben Franklin Apothecary – Pictures with Santa

Event Type: Shuttle Service

Price: Free to the Public

Description: Due to various street closures and limited parking, the City of Duncanville has partnered with Duncanville ISD to offer a free shuttle service before, during and after the event.

Time: 5:00PM – End of Event

Place: Costco – 250 E Hwy 67, Duncanville, TX 75137

Special Info: To catch the parade, park and ride from Costco to the Phase I stop located at the southeast corner of Main & Wheatland at the Dallas County Tax Office. After the parade, road closures will open allowing the stop to progress to Phase II, located adjacent to the Main St activities at W Freeman & Main St.

    If we choose not to take the shuttle, where is a good place to park?

      Parking will be available at Davis Street and Hustead Street in the grass area behind the railroad tracks. The intersection is where the street closures will begin and it is safe to cross with children.
